Forming-Unforming
This is the Architecture and Sustainable Design Pillar of Singapore University of Technology and Design's third publication. It presents the work of the students from academic terms, Fall 2019 to Summer 2020.
In our curriculum, we continue past discussions on sustainability and align our designs to meet the United Nations’ Sustainable Development goals. Discussions were guided by expertise from our faculty’s research work. Students experience first-hand what tomorrow’s possibilities look like, from climate-responsive, data-driven designs to regenerative architecture and more.
Beyond existing talks, we generated new conversations on resilient designs:
- How can we create a better environment in response to disasters and disturbances?
- How can we improve living conditions at dormitories?
- How can we design sustainable urban public spaces in the face of safe distancing measures?
- How can we design spaces to mitigate food supply disruptions in Singapore?
