ASD

Architecture and Sustainable Design (ASD) is part of the young Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), which was established in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The university opened its doors to the first students in May 2012.

At ASD, we were given the rare opportunity to create a new school of architecture completely from scratch, unencumbered by legacy. Our challenge: How to design a brand new school of architecture as a tabula rasa? What should be its intellectual footprint as part of this larger new university, SUTD?

Together with their distribution partner, Asiapac Books, ASD is pleased to present their publications, including the award-winning 粵海清廟:建築與歷史的對話 (WAK HAI CHENG BIO: A DIALOGUE BETWEEN ARCHITECTURE AND HISTORY) by Professor Yeo Kang Shua, and the latest Inform/Reform Series issues that discuss Artificial & Architectural Intelligence Design and Housing.
